Investigation of opto-magnetic recording and readout by single femtosecond pulses

The project was based on the extremely short in time and space interactions between laser light and different engineered magnetic material. The conducted research aims the development of future hard disk drives controlled with ultrashort laser pulses and will potentially provide device compactness, high recording speed, extremely small bit size and high resolution.
