The thermal energy storage (TES) is an important system for effective utilisation of renewable energy. In this thesis, the application of phase change material as a latent heat TES at room temperature was investigated to study its effectiveness in energy savings, temperature attenuation and thermal comfort. In addition, the thermal properties of geopolymer were determined to find its feasibility as a new TES material in high-temperature application.
