Dr. Wickrama Arachchilage investigated the electronic structural properties of marine borne bioactive compounds, such as benzene derivatives and cyclic dipeptides, using experimental and simulation techniques. These studies assist us to understand the structure-function relationship, bonding nature and chemical interaction of these biomolecules, which is important in pharmaceutical applications.
