This PhD presented comprehensive investigation of experimental work, finite element analysis, and parametric studies on evaluating the fatigue life performance of externally-bonded FRP composites in reinforced concrete beams and subjected to different levels of cyclic loading. The main investigation of this research addresses the gaps in current knowledge regarding the influence of stress amplitude, number of cycles, sequence of cyclic loading, and fatigue damage behaviour of external FRP anchorage systems, while these factors have great influence in limiting the service life of RC bridges. Anchored specimens showed greater fatigue life performance when examined under the same fatigue load configuration used in the control model.
