Mechanical Properties of Rubber-Soil Mixtures with Bitumen for Sustainable Geotechnical Applications

thesis
posted on 2025-05-09, 07:19 authored by Deaa Abduljabbar Ahmad Mizher

This project builds on the growing trend of recycling tyre rubber in geotechnical applications through rubber-soil mixtures. Its main contribution is the enhancement of these mixtures by incorporating bitumen and examining its effects on their static, dynamic, and post-cyclic properties. Beside the environmental benefits, the significance of this research lies in its potential to improve the seismic performance of soil beneath foundations, while also enhancing bearing capacity and reducing settlement in the conventional rubber-soil mixtures.
