Energy storage system such as supercapacitor and energy conversion technology like electrochemical water-splitting hold great prospects to mitigate the problems of the energy crisis and global warming. However, the lack of efficient materials to serve as electrodes/electrocatalysts hinders their development. This thesis is devoted to developing such materials that can serve as efficient electrodes/electrocatalysts for supercapacitors and electrochemical water splitting. The study showed the developed electrolyzers generating clean hydrogen gas that can be used as fuels and the supercapacitors lighting a LED bulb indicating their potentials for practical applications in our day-to-day life and to society as a whole.
