This study investigated community structures of prokaryotes and Symbiodinium spp. found within the tissues of common shallow water Acropora corals of Talang-Satang National Park. Genetic analysis reported significant differences in the microbial diversity of corals collected during Southwest monsoon and Northeast monsoon; disregard corals health conditions. DNA analysis also detected significant changes in microbial communities within transplanted Acropora corals after the attempt to restore partially bleached corals had failed; leading to further tissue losses. Nevertheless, this study has enriched our current knowledge related to microbial diversity found in common Acropora coral that are useful for future coral preservation purposes.
