The creative work - a website titled One Country: Different Voices at http://www.onecountrydifferentvoices.com.au/ - adapts for the non-Indigenous classroom a model for learning developed by Elders of Western New South Wales. Eight Ways Learning is based in traditional Indigenous approaches to learning. The website includes links to teaching and learning websites, Australian Indigenous knowledge, and background reading papers which challenge the students’ implicit world view and attitudes. Part 1 of the exegesis reviews both the Eight Ways model and non-Indigenous approaches to learning.
