Large enterprise software systems make many complex interactions with other services. Developing and testing production-like conditions for testing is challenging. Service virtualisation is a technique to provide production- like conditions, where models of services are virtualised to provide more realistic scale and less complicated configuration. We present the opaque response generation approach for creating virtual service models. This approach enables services to be virtualised automatically without any knowledge of system protocol and interaction behaviours. Experimental results show our opaque response generation approach can generate accurate responses in real time with an accuracy rate over 99% on average.
