Nasopharyngeal cancer, NPC is a cancer that commonly affects the Chinese population and the ethnic group, Bidayuh from Sarawak. The study screened and combined new treatment drugs that were developed for other cancers against NPC cells. The study discovered a potential combination treatment that was able to negatively affect the growth and survival of NPC cells. The mechanism of action was investigated yet it warrants further exploration to fully understand the effects caused by the combined drugs. The findings would allow better treatment strategies in the future for NPC and other types of cancers.
