This research examines what practical interventions are available for Senior Executives (SEs) to implement to protect employee mental health (MH) and mental ill-health (Mi-H) and the tensions that SEs face in protecting employee MH and Mi-H. This study was designed in two phases. Phase One explored from 26 Australian SEs how they are currently protecting employee MH and Mi-H. Phase Two explored from 22 global elites, and experts what practical interventions are available for SEs to implement at an organisational level. The benefit of this research contributes a literature gap of understanding leaders' perspectives of managing the MH of employees.
