Employing autoethnography, Chris' thesis examines employee reactions to organisational change and how these alter over time. Chris made use of his long term experience in the public sector to examine his perceptions of and reactions to change, noting that longer term employees perceive and deal with organisational change in different ways to shorter term employees. The thesis refines extant change management models, informs managers of employee perceptions and reactions and assists them to tailor their management of change to suit individuals thus facilitating a smoother and more effective change experience.
