This research aims to investigate the application of Degrowth theory in a resilient community as a possible solution, a way to stem the global and current world econommic and social crises. The last thirty years have been characterized by a proliferation of alternative systems of this nature. In order to prove the possibility of achieving such an inversion of our collective imagination, Transition Darebin (Melbourne, Victoria), a community project and part of the global Transition Network will be utilized as an example of this experience, an example of the possibility of achieving what we call "DemocaCity".
