The overall aim of this study was to investigate the reproductive health status including progress, level of inequity and contributing factors in Sub-Saharan Africa region for a period of 25 years. While reproductive health implies that all women should have access to safe and affordable obstetric care, birth control and healthcare services, this is not the case in Sub-Saharan Africa. The data was mainly taken from a large sample size, nationally representative surveys of each country. The suggested strategies and recommendations are designed to inform different stakeholders including policy makers and researchers in the area of reproductive health.
