The primary objective of this thesis is the design of a robust and precise speed tracking control system based on the cascade or non-cascade control structures with the nonlinear control for a permanent magnet synchronous motor system. The impact of various uncertainties is also incorporated into the proposed system. The benefit to society of the research includes that the research can be potentially applied and extended to electrical vehicles so that they can run smoothly and noise-reduced even under bump road.
