In this dissertation, we explore possibilities to enhance the support of data analytics tasks for domain experts. More specifically, we propose a solution in the form of a data analytics engine, which overcomes major limitations of the current approaches and tools. To validate the engine, we use a real-world case study with diabetes research as the target domain of interest.
