This thesis envisages that inexpensive and simple soil bio-enhancement practices should be considered as the way forward to increase tree growth performance of forest plantations in Sarawak namely for the tree species Neolamarckia cadamba. The study carried out encompassed nursery and field trials on the efficacy of soil mycorrhizal inoculum produced, and the characterization and identification of the related spore specimen. Future work on further ascertaining the nomenclature of the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi species and its relationship with Neolamarckia cadamba is suggested.
