Strengthening of civil engineering structures has become an essential demand worldwide. The research program is concerned with the application of modified cement-based adhesive for the strengthening of reinforced concrete members with near-surface mounted carbon fibre reinforced polymer composites as an alternative to the epoxy resins. Experimental, numerical and analytical investigations were executed in this study. A modified cementitious adhesive was developed using different types of mixes. The bond behaviour and flexural performance of reinforced concrete members using different types of adhesives and CFRP at normal and high temperature were investigated to determine the best options of strengthening. The approach has shown significant results in terms of bond properties, flexural strength and ductility.
