The transition metal chalcogenide nanostructures have been studied and established for positive electrodes of supercapacitors and batteries by different preparation methods such as hydrothermal, ion-exchange, chemical vapor deposition, and electrodeposition. By controlling the interfacial reactions between the electrodes and electrolytes, the enhancement of energy storage capability has been investigated. In addition, the bimetallic alloys could provide a synergistic effect, electronic configuration and improve electrochemical activity. Furthermore, to avoid the leakage of liquid electrolytes, the all-solid-state devices have been fabricated and investigated the performance, which exhibited high energy/power densities, long cycling stability with flexible and wearable capability.
