This PhD project is focused on the preparation of graphene and boron nitride nanosheets based nanocomposite materials and their applications in catalysis. A series of graphene and boron nitride nanosheets based composite catalysts were then synthesized using wet chemical methods. The catalytic performances of the synthesized composite catalysts were investigated under normal catalytic and electrocatalytic aspects. Based on the catalytic activity observations, the work has demonstrated that both graphene and boron nitride nanosheets based composite catalysts have great potential applications in the elimination of organic pollutants and enhancement of electrochemical detection.
