This thesis evaluated telehealth-enabled dignity therapy for enhancing community-dwelling older adults' sense of meaning in their lives, or meaning in life. First, we found close relationships between meaning in life and several indicators of wellbeing, indicating the importance of meaning in life in older adulthood. Then, two studies suggested that dignity therapy delivered via telehealth is beneficial and feasible for older adults to complete. Further, participants reported an improved sense of meaning in life and life satisfaction after completing the program. Hence, this thesis promotes the use of telehealth-enabled dignity therapy for helping older adults flourish in their later years.
