The Effect of Measurement Errors on the Double Sampling X̅ Chart

Measurement errors are invariable and their appearance will adversely affect the performance of the control chart judging the quality of the product. The effect of measurement errors on the double sampling (DS) X̅ chart is investigated using the linear covariate error model, thereby accurately determining the status of the production process based on the inspected products with measurement errors. Furthermore, the proposed DS X̅ chart designed under the statistical and economic criteria contributes to producing high-quality products in a cost-effective manner.
