This research investigates unusually large but faint galaxies (ultra-diffuse galaxies) to understand how they form, evolve, and relate to other types of galaxies. By studying their stars, star clusters, and gas, the work reveals different formation paths, including rare cases that lack the invisible matter found in most galaxies (dark matter). The findings improve our understanding of how small galaxies grow and change over time and offer new ways to identify and study them in the future.
