The Role of Angular Momentum in the Evolution of Star-forming galaxies

This thesis contains a detailed investigation of the dynamics of galaxies in a cosmic epoch where many important evolutionary processes occur. To do this, I used sophisticated observational techniques to measure the amount of rotation in these systems. This way I made a thorough examination of the characteristics of the data and provided suggestions for future studies that use similar datasets and similar techniques. By building up a large sample of galaxies with detailed observations, I also found interesting trends, which will benefit from further studies by scientists working in the field.
