The community-based cross-sectional study was conducted from October to December 2019 in rural ENTP Indonesia to capture the behavioural aspects of malaria for the rural community. The study shown that the malaria awareness among rural adults in ENTP was low, and the disparity of malaria awareness amid diverse endemic malaria settings, and ethnicities, differed significantly. To boost malaria elimination in ENTP, the local community should have adequate levels of malaria awareness, treatment-seeking behaviour, and knowledge of and practices around various malaria-prevention measures. Hence, the malaria awareness index should be integrated with key intervention programs in this province.
