The world today faces numerous wicked problems, such as: climate change, poverty, increasing economic inequality, famine, potential pandemics, etc. Therefore, organisations are expected to increase their remit of responsibility and develop new ways of engaging with society more proactively. In this regard, social intrapreneurship is an innovative activity that tackles social problems from within an organisation when the social and financial needs of the organisation are met and contributes towards corporate social responsibility (CSR). This study explores the phenomenon of social intrapreneurship, which involves understanding the antecedents and outcomes of social intrapreneurship. Collaboration with external partners is highlighted as a main antecedent factor that is embedded in social intrapreneurship.
