The rates of mortality are increasing owing to obesity; hence having preventive programs seems to be crucial. By adopting a Social Ecological perspective, the focus of this study is to investigate three important determinants of Gen Y’s healthy lifestyle behaviours (healthy eating and physical activity): media, social, and individual. The findings of this study would help to adopt effective health promotion strategies which can be used to enhance healthy eating and physical activity in Gen Y. Hence reducing the possibility of diseases and mortality rates.
