This thesis focuses on studying the rotational properties of radio pulsars. Pulsars are extremely dense, rapidly spinning stars, whose exceptional rotational stability allows us to probe the fundamental laws of physics. In this thesis, we developed novel statistical techniques to study the long-term rotational behavior of a large sample of highly energetic pulsars observed with the Parkes radio telescope in Australia. We also used the most sensitive radio telescope in the Southern Hemisphere, the MeerKAT radio telescope in South Africa to study pulsar emission on very short timescales.
